When I looked more closely at the cover, it seemed to be that but was about a Canadian "cop". After reading Teri Hein's "Atomic Farmgirl" I feel that I have become very familiar with the rhythms of life played out by those Lutheran wheat farmers.
They love God, each other, their way of life and the land. First you noticed the amazing building. Ten Stars. This book is the last word on the greatest store ever created. Back to the future!!!. Much of it is as enjoyable as a good history book, and Kinsman makes his love of "private science" (the individual thought processes by which scientists make their discoveries) apparent. I was curious enough and interested enough after reading the book to check that out as of updates "today". The bulk of each chapter then is taken up with a chronicling of what book's Hume was reading, and furthermore, of which books were available to him or otherwise would have at least been known to him in some capacity.
