This book analyses the transplantation, development and adaptation of the two largest Tibetan and Zen Buddhist organizations currently active on the British religious landscape: the New Kadampa Tradition (NKT) and the Order of Buddhist Contemplatives (OBC). The key contributions of recent scholarship are evaluated and organised thematically to provide a framework for analysis, and the history and current landscape of contemporary Tibetan and Zen Buddhist practice in Britain are also mapped out. A number of patterns and processes identified elsewhere are exemplified, although certain assumptions made about the nature of 'British Buddhism' are subjected to critical scrutiny and challenged.
Editorial : About the Author
David N. Kay has lectured and conducted doctoral research into the development and adaptation of Tibetan and Zen forms of Buddhism in Britain at St. Martin's College, Lancaster
With this publication, the author identifies 50 plants that have altered the history of life on earth. They were greeted by people ignorant of their plight and nature and summarily shot.
This book is an excellent source of basic information about the nature of the polar bear and its exploitation by man. It also goes over ways to know that it is opening. The violence has ramped up considerably in spots and it seems that the same amount of narrative movement has been packaged in 25% more pages. If you want to recharge yourself physically. If you are interested in how you might best prepare for the PMP exam - read on - further below.
- this is a good study companion to the PMBOK guide.
- it does have some tips for memorizing things (like math formulas, theories on motivating employees, etc.) -- I found these tips helpful for the most part
- this book also has some tips on items to focus on (because higher chances of them being on the PMP exam) and those not to focus on
